The full announcement can be found here: https://www.nist.gov/news-events/news/2022/07/nist-announces-first-four-quantum-resistant-cryptographic-algorithms.

These algorithms are encryption tools that are designed to withstand the assault of a future quantum computer, which could potentially crack the security used to protect privacy in the digital systems we rely on every day — such as online banking and email software.

We're extremely proud to recognize Dutch research excellence in the selection of Kyber, co-authored by NXP Semiconductors, Radboud University and the Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica (CWI), for key-establishment and SPHINCS+ for digital signatures, featuring Eindhoven University of Technology and Radboud University. We're sure that these developments will provide ample food for discussion for the next PQC symposium, to be held on 15 November by TNO, CWI and ourselves.

If you're keen to get involved, in either the symposium or our crypto community, drop us a line!
